One hour (and 10-ish minutes) study. Yeah I did that in a hurry.
No color picking from the original photo. No tracing. 3 layers max. And really one work layer.
The 3 questions of the rules:
►Learned: Major forms first. Major forms first. MAJOR! FORMS! FIIIIRST!!!!!!!!!
Also special and textured brush should come like in the last 5% time work of the piece. The rocks on the right of the original photo were the closest and thus the most important one to detail. I went nuts with the shiny "ooooh special textured kewl" brushes... Hand-paint the f*** out of everything...
Also the sky is-again- not good.
And I should do major forms first.
►What did you find difficult?: Apart from good old muddy effect and color accuracy, the textured part of the rocks, especially on the right side.
►What area's do you wish to improve on?: Muddy effect/color control. That's my number one nightmare right now.
